1. Leakage at the packing of soft seal gate valve
(1) if the packing gland is too loose, the nut for pressing the packing gland can be tightened evenly.
(2) if the number of packing rings is not enough, the packing shall be increased.
(3) if the packing is used for too long or stored improperly, replace it with a new one, and pay attention to that the joints between the rings should be staggered by 1200.

2 between the gate of soft seal gate valve and the sealing surface of valve seat
(1) if there is dirt between sealing surfaces, it can be washed away.
(2) if the sealing surface is damaged, it shall be grinded again. If necessary, it can be overlaid and processed again. The grinded sealing surface must be flat and its roughness shall not be less than 0.4.
3. The leakage nut at the connection between the valve body and the bonnet of the soft seal gate valve is not tightened tightly or the tightness is uneven, which can be readjusted.

(1) any damage (straight groove or groove mark, etc.) on the flange sealing surface shall be corrected.
(2) if the gasket is damaged, replace it with a new one.

4. The stem drive of soft seal gate valve is not flexible

(1) if the packing is pressed too tight, loosen the nut on the packing gland properly.
(2) if the position of the packing gland is not correct, so that the valve stem is stuck, evenly screw the nuts on the packing gland to make the gland return to the normal position.
(3) if the thread on the valve rod and valve rod nut is damaged, it shall be removed after disassembly.
